Lenny Leleu is a Belgian designer working across fashion, performance, objects and space.
Her practice moves between clothing and the body, function and transformation, precision and play. Drawing from fashion, sport, movement and visual culture, she creates garments and objects that often sit somewhere between the wearable and the performative.
Experimentation and making are at the core of her work. She is interested in the tension between contrasting worlds — tailored and athletic, constructed and spontaneous, familiar and unexpected.
Lenny Leleu studied fashion at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. After working internationally, including at Daryl K in New York and Jeremy Scott in Los Angeles, she returned to Antwerp to develop her own practice.
Lenny Leleu brings together new work, selected archive pieces and performance-based projects — continuing an ongoing exploration of clothing, the body and the spaces around it.
